2022

Ragnarok SO3 is back filming in Norway. Head of Stunt, Jacob S. Carlsen from Stunt360, asked me to handle and organize the stunt-scenes for Block 2 of filming (Ep 4, 5 and 6). Unable to do all the shooting days myself, I had Otto Tangstad and Bekim Brahimi to coordinate a few days each, and brought stuntdoubles Evert Anton Steen and Maria Hansen for some nice and easy scenes.

***

For TV2's miniseries, Bloodbrothers, I got to double a 14 year old boy on a tiny BMX, cyckling down a spiral staircase on a snowy day (the character does not use a helmet!). For once the stunt was not about falling, but actually managing to stay on the bike all the way down. Had a few rough falls but managed to get the shot on 3rd try.

***

Another production for the Norwegian Film School - Superdupermegagigasingle Director, Håkon Anton Olavsen, needed 2 stuntdoubles for a skiing scene. Ragnhild Bjørge got to be the slopes mascot, and be run over by myself, dressed up like a ski-tourist. We had a few good impact hits and a fun day at Lillehammer Ski center.

2021

This year flew by... but 2021 started off with some fight choreography and coordination for the pilot episode Tsubasa - A TV serie directed by Iain Forbes from the Norwgian Film School, with actors Preben Hodneland and Yngvild Grotmol.

In April I got to do some night- and wirework for the Netflix Original, Blasted (2022), stunt coordinated by Otto Tangstad and directed by my old school mate, Martin Sofiedal. A fun movie with lots of stunts in it. I just love it when a big stunt crew can come together and play. Produced by Miso Film.

Another Netflix Original to come out of Norway in 2022, is the movie Troll. Stunt coordinator Deni Jordan got to ensemble a crew of 10 stunt peeps, but we mostly just hung around waiting for our turn (except myself who had to do the same fall over and over again as the overview shot ended up being repeated like 20 times!). Produced by Motion Blur and directed by Roar Uthaug.

In December I stunt coordinated a commercial for Wenaas Workwear, with Bekim Brahimi and Evert Anton Steen as stunt actors. A fun little gig! Thanks to producer Guy Haddeland from Tinagent for bringing me on early in the process. Directed by Sigve Aspelund.
Agency: Los & co.

2020

First week of December, I got to stunt coordinate several stunts for episode 5 for the Original Norwegian Netflix series "Post Mortem - No one dies in Skarnes", where brought with me stunt doubles Knut-Erik Helland Barland, Simen Lindhagen and Linn Solem. For safety and extra manpower, I also had Tyrone Wiggins by my side. After rehearsal days and testing, I was very pleased with the results and the stunt team performances during filming. Produced by Motion Blur for Netflix and directed by Petter Holmsen.

***

For the production Plan B, I got to stunt double an 80 year-old lady who gets hit by a car.
As always, stunts are calculated risks, but in this particular situation, the margins of elements where small, but luckily on my side, so walked out of it without any scratch. Kudos to
stunt coordinator Kai Kolstad Rødseth and stunt driver Stian Kirsebom Andersen.

***

At the end of October, I was back in Odda, Norway, together with on-set stunt coordinator, Otto Tangstad for a moped-stunt a.k.a "knallert", as they call it in Denmark. Falling off while speeding and crashing hard to the ground - twice - and the job was done! The last couple of episodes of Ragnarok SO2, is directed by Mads Kamp Thulstrup. Produced by SAM Productions.

***

International rapper, R.A. The Rugged Man (US), just finished filming his latest music video in Halden and Moss. I came in as a stunt coordinator a few days before shooting. For the stunt riot scenes, I brought with me Maria Hansen and Evert Anton Steen to do fights, tossing and hits. Produced by CB Media & Publishing (Shane A. Caldwell) and directed by Linn Marie Christensen.

***

For the new NRK drama-series "Jordbrukerne", I coordinated a couple of scenes involving children. Produced by Rubicon TV and this particular episode was directed by Brwa Vahabpour.

***

For this year's Christmas edition of = OSLO magasin, I was interviewed by journalist and photographer Leikny Skjærseth for a portrait piece in regards to non-traditional professions. With a little help from my friends, we gave her a body-burn photo into water. Thanks to Otto Tangstad and Stian Kirsebom Andersen

The Netflix Original series, Ragnarok, is currently filming season 2 in Odda, Norway.

As an Assistant Stunt Coordinator for Adam Brix, I have been coordinating a few scenes in Odda, as well as training with the cast for an upcoming fight scene. I have also been able to get a few of my stunt-friends onboard as stuntdoubles, which is always fun!

Ragnarok SO2 is directed by Danish Mogens Hagedorn and produced by SAM Productions.

***

Fury is directed by Magnus Martens and produced by Monster AS (NO) and X-Filme Creative (DE) for Viaplay and ZDF.

Due to Covid-19 and the world-wide lockdown, Stunt Norway had to adapt to the new situation and find other ways to be relevant. Luckly, we were given the challenge to be innovative by the National Film School in Lillehammer,  by setting up a 3-day webinar course in Stunt & Action. The graduating students of the Director of Photography class, got an insight and learning in how to plan and conduct stunt-and action sequences for the silver screen, from pre-production to post-production. Thanks to Uffe Mulvad for pulling the strings!

***

In the beginning of January, Stunt Norway - NFF hosted the first gathering of well-established Norwegian stunt people, coordinators and up and coming stunt performers to a professional day where we talked about the industry, our work and how each and every one collectively can contribute to professionalize the stunt industry in Norway! At the end of the day the participants also got to play around a bit and partake in a group fight as a pre-viz.

***

For the new youth thriller-series "Skitten Snø" by Miso Film, I get to throw Swedish stunt-colleague Jonathan Wiberg off a skijump. All thought my part turned out to be more of a stand-in for the main character then an actual stunt-double, I was part in making the scene as safe and credible as possible. Coordinated by Otto Tangstad.

***

For the final episode of the popular show "Alle mot 1" on NRK, I was asked to set light on 50 torches while being on fire myself - live on TV! ***

Together with Fikser'n AS, I gave TV host Markus Baily and Youtuber Jarl a day to remember in the name of stunts. For Coke TV,  they got to experience screen-fighting, falls and fire burns! Fikser'n was providing the necessary equipment as well as SFX.

The result can be seen here.

Together with Jacob in Stunt360 - Stunt Services Int. I tried out the naked burn gel "FireSkin360". A new stuntgel that doesn't require Carbon nor Nomax clothing underneath to be safe. The burn and flames are directly on your skin, only protected by this super clear gel.

For the new hit single "Rookie Mistakes", by the Norwegian band Briskeby, I was called in to stunt-double the lead singer Lise Karlsnes, on several high-speed action scenes on top of a moving (and quite expensive) Jaguar. Director Shaun Higton is going beyond the normal music-video genre and taking it all to a higher level.

The band members and the production crew from Kandidat was a pleasure to work with.
Good vibes from early morning to late evening!

2nd year filmstudents from Noroff Oslo, asked my stunt-colleague Anna G. Sevje and myself to create an action scene inspired by the ultimat catfight between Uma Thurman and Vivica A. Fox in Kill Bill Vol. 2. We took the challenge and had a fun evening trashing someone's livingroom for a few hours. However, we were more concerned about our acting-skills and looking "bad-ass", then doing the actual stunts.
